The University of Toronto seeks an experienced academic expert to teach a course on Mesopotamia and the ancient Near East.

Salary

This position comes with a competitive salary, with rates ranging from $9,457.90 for Sessional Lecturer I to $10,570.02 for Sessional Lecturer III, including vacation pay.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly qualified individual to prepare and deliver course content, develop and administer assignments, tests, and exams, hold regular office hours, and calculate and submit grades. The successful candidate will have expertise in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations or a related field and experience in teaching undergraduate courses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a PhD in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations or a related field or equivalent knowledge and experience. Preference will be given to candidates advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or III in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.
