About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Painter Assistant to join our team at Richie Painting Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting our painters with various tasks, including loading and unloading construction materials, mixing and applying paints, and cleaning up work sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from work sites
  • Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and other coatings as required
  • Clean and maintain work sites, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste
  • Assist painters with tasks such as cutting in, rolling, and applying finishes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or team leaders

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field (e.g. construction, painting, laboring)
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
