Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Bartender Notch8 to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consistently offer thoughtful, professional, and proactive guest service
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods
• Assist guests with menu items in an informative, engaging, and helpful way
• Mix drinks and craft cocktails to standard while controlling and monitoring inventory
• Actively seek dietary restrictions and allergies from guests and communicate to kitchen staff accordingly
• Handle guest concerns swiftly and graciously, offering a remarkable recovery and a commitment to always improve
• Ensure service essentials, quality, and service standards are met throughout the guest experience from arrival to departure
• Set up mise en place, side stations, bar, and bar settings according to standards
• Support colleagues during service to ensure a consistent guest experience throughout the restaurant, including running food, refreshing beverages, and clearing/resetting tables when needed
• Set furniture in the bar and lounge area in a consistent, clean, and inviting way
• Ensure accuracy in billing, promotions, and loyalty program offerings
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Service-focused personality with at least one year of experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant required
• Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment preferred
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities at once
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
• Highly responsible and reliable with impeccable grooming and professionalism
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, and specialty coffees
• Valid Serving It Right Certification
• Ability to work a fluctuating schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and rotating shifts
• Ability to speak and understand English with professional working proficiency
• Successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada; Hotel is unable to assist applicants with Canadian work authorization

Physical Aspects of Position:

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling
• Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps
• Proven ability to carry three entre plates or more at one time
