Join Our Team

BIOVECTRA Inc. is a leading bio-science company seeking a highly motivated Student Scientist to join our team in Charlottetown, PEI. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing lab-scale synthetic work, participating in scale-up to pilot plant level, interpreting analytical techniques, developing waste disposal methods, investigating equipment cleaning procedures, preparing purified intermediates, and developing in-process QC procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Lab-scale synthetic work and raw material evaluation.
  • Scale-up to pilot plant level.
  • Modern analytical techniques such as IR, UV, GC, HPLC, and NMR.
  • Waste disposal methods.
  • Equipment cleaning procedures.
  • Purified intermediates for use as analytical standards.
  • In-process QC procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Organic chemistry experience.
  • Previous chemical experience would be considered an asset.
  • A strong background in analytical chemistry is also recommended.
  • Ability to switch from project to project with ease, as well as multi-task.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with professionals and technical specialists in related disciplines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
