Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of underwriters to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies
- Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform underwriting decisions
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including producers, brokers, and clients
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in public management liability underwriting or a related field
- Proven track record of success in underwriting and business development
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of underwriters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
