Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Associate to join our team at LIDS. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for generating sales, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a professional appearance consistent with our company's standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales statistics and company objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines, including proper signage and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to our company's dress code policy.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Control expenses by protecting company assets and managing store inventory.
  • Assist in scheduling and wage control to ensure proper store coverage.
  • Perform accurate documentation and record-keeping in accordance with company policies and state and federal laws.
  • Open and close the store as required, following established procedures.
  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Leadership and Development

  • Participate in training programs and adhere to set goals and regular follow-up.
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
  • Encourage direct compliance with established company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relative experience.
  • Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, professional manner.
  • Ability to operate a computer and maneuver relative software programs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder.
  • Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
