About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Totally Home Interiors Inc. as a Woodworking Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Layout and Measurement: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Woodworking: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality woodwork.
  • Installation: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless and professional finish.
  • Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion and minimal disruption to clients.
  • Surveying: Survey building locations and levels to ensure accurate measurements and layouts.
  • Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and planning.
  • Technology: Operate CADD and other computer software systems to design and plan projects.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The language of work is English.
