About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Rajan Painting and Renovation Services Ltd. as a Woodworking Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating custom-made cabinets and woodwork pieces that meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, and drawings of articles to be made, and prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage.
  • Woodworking Operations: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Surface Preparation: Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces, using hand tools, such as planes, chisels, or wood files, and sand wooden surfaces to prepare them for finishing.
  • Finishing and Assembly: Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Quality Control and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work 32 hours per week in a well-equipped woodworking shop. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
