Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our executive leadership team as the Vice President, Consumer Protection. This role will provide enabling leadership and oversight of CAO's information and educational services, data management, and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve CAO's objectives and business priorities.
- Provide strategic guidance and oversight of information and educational services, data management, and compliance functions.
- Collaborate with the CEO and other members of the executive team to develop and implement multiple projects and initiatives.
- Represent the organization at special projects, task forces, forums, and conferences.
- Foster effective client engagement and build critical relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Establish and implement the overall strategy and direction for the provision of information services through the contact centre.
- Identify emerging condo-related issues and changing public/condo sector expectations.
- Oversee the collection of client feedback data to inform the development and enhancement of high-quality information services.
- Oversee the overall enterprise and data and information strategy, including data governance, data management, and data accuracy/quality standards.
- Foster a data-driven culture by establishing initiatives to build data literacy and data-driven business decisions.
- Provide leadership and champion the use of data technologies, big data, and machine learning/artificial intelligence capabilities to drive business improvements and efficiencies.
- Oversee the provision of compliance functions to ensure that condominium corporations' regulatory requirements are met.
- Lead the development and implementation of outreach strategies to condo corporations and condominium boards to build knowledge and understanding of condominium act compliance requirements.
- Establish and monitor the structure and team accountabilities within the department to strengthen linkages within the team and across the organization.
- Promote a culture that respects CAO's values and equity, inclusion, diversity, and anti-racism.
- Develop and/or implement people initiatives to develop team members and ensure high performance of staff.
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, public administration, law, regulatory affairs, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant leadership experience in the not-for-profit or public sector or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in consumer protection/consumer services or regulatory environment is an asset.
