We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor of Cleaning and Maintenance Services to join our team at Compass Group Canada. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance operations of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and maintenance, with experience in supervising and coordinating the activities of cleaning staff. You will be responsible for inspecting sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards, preparing budgets and cost estimates, and recommending additional services as needed.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, management, and clients. You will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a physically demanding workload. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cleaning staff

  • Assist cleaners in performing duties
  • Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
  • Establish work schedules

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in cleaning and maintenance
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Basic security clearance
  • Criminal record check
