We are seeking a highly skilled Immigration Consultant to join our HR team at Intact Financial Corporation. As an Immigration Consultant, you will provide expert advice and support to our employees, HR community, and business leaders on all aspects of foreign worker hiring processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on immigration inquiries and processes, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations.
  • Liaise with immigration vendors to ensure foreign worker compliance and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Advise HR and business leaders on immigration-related matters, including changes to laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and audit administrative tasks related to employee immigration status, including work permit applications and permanent residency forms.
  • Lead the review of policies and business processes to ensure compliance with immigration legislations and regulations.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and reinforce compliance by implementing tools, procedures, and processes.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in Canadian Immigration practices or related experience.
  • Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative, good judgment, and autonomy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to adapt rapidly in an ever-changing environment.
  • Positive attitude and strong sense of ethics.
  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving simultaneous demands and rapid change.
  • High degree of autonomy and resourcefulness.
  • Rigorous, attention to detail, and organized.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and exercises great discretion.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
