Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, B.C. This is a casual opportunity that requires flexibility and a willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and evenings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the switchboard and public address/paging systems
  • Participate in emergency procedures
  • Receive and register patients, process accounts receivable, and balance daily cash
  • Perform clerical duties, including typing, compiling, and distributing documents, and completing data entry for admissions and patient count
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12
  • A current Typing Test of 45 nwpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution
  • Proof of Medical Terminology (complete certificate or course)
  • One year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
