We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate, Infrastructure Investments to join our team in Montreal. As an Associate, you will play a key role in the investment process, working closely with our team of experienced professionals to identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough analysis of investment opportunities, assessing key merits and risks, and providing recommendations to the investment committee.
- Assess target companies' financial information, strategic positioning, and industry dynamics, and prepare detailed operational and financial models for DCF valuation.
- Participate in due diligence activities, including coordination and review of work performed by third-party advisors.
- Prepare investment memorandums and present recommendations to the investment committee.
- Monitor periodic financial and operating results, and prepare ad hoc analyses of portfolio companies' performance and trajectory.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree in a relevant field being an asset.
- CA, MBA, CFA, CBV is an asset.
- Three to five years of relevant financial analysis, accounting, modelling, valuation, and/or transactional experience in consulting or investment banking services, financing, investing, or corporate development.
- Experience in the infrastructure and/or energy sectors is considered an asset.
- Solid understanding of financial statements, excellent analytical skills, and sound critical judgement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools and financial analytical tools and databases.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
