Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, evidence-informed nursing care to an acute medical and surgical patient population. This will involve assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Recent medical/surgical experience
- Previous experience working with Meditech and McKesson Visibility is an asset
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment
- Organized and able to work in a team environment
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Caring, compassionate, customer-focused attitude towards patients and families
