Long Haul Truck Driver

Virtuous Truck Lines Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Inspect Vehicles: Regularly inspect vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
- Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely updates on delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Record Cargo Information: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Certificates and Licenses: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Experience: Have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a truck driver, with a proven track record of safe and efficient operation.
- Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with dispatch and other stakeholders.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent travel and variable weather conditions.
- Physical Demands: Regularly lift, bend, and move heavy objects, with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
