Job Title: Truck Driver - Long Haul

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team at Guru Truck Lines Ltd. As a Truck Driver - Long Haul, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Requirements:

  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
