Job Title: Junior Geotechnical Driller

The Junior Geotechnical Driller will play a crucial role in assisting the Senior Geotechnical Driller with the deployment of drill rigs, transporting, loading, and unloading equipment, and logging information from the job site during drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Senior Driller in leading drilling operations of the rig by handling drill pipe, mixing drill mud, and handling casing and other equipment.
  • Assist in the mobilization of drilling rigs and/or cone trucks for jobs as directed, loading drill pipe, mud, and equipment.
  • Perform labor-intensive projects assigned by the Project Coordinator/Project Manager.
  • Monitor the performance of all equipment to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Perform maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work area as directed.
  • Complete all required paperwork as directed.
  • Attend all safety meetings and comply with both company and client safety standards and programs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including equipment and job site areas.
  • Turn in all required paperwork to the office on a daily basis.
Requirements:
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
  • Experience working around drilling and heavy equipment.
  • Sufficient knowledge of geotechnical drilling techniques to be responsible for an entire project.
  • Available for drilling projects that require both in-state and out-of-state travel and overnight visits.
  • CDL A License (an asset).
  • Geotechnical Drilling Experience - Soils Augers, Wet Rotary, and Wireline Coring.
  • Familiar with and following DOT and IFTA regulations.
  • Must have a current driver's license with a record in accordance with Company and DOT policies, class A license is highly preferred but not required.
  • TWIC card.
  • ISTC Basic Plus.
  • HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification.
  • Previous drilling experience is a requirement.
