Salary

The salary range for this position is $63,300-$75,900 per year.

Job Description

This role involves managing access requests, triaging and investigating privacy incidents and complaints, conducting research, developing education tools and resources, facilitating training, supporting operational procedures, handling day-to-day compliance with privacy obligations, and ensuring proper documentation of requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supports day-to-day operations of the Central Privacy Office, including inbox management and other administrative duties.
  2. Handles and tracks all incoming requests to the Privacy Office, including access, deletion, and opt-outs. Liaises with the appropriate business units to obtain the relevant information and respond promptly and under regulatory requirements.
  3. Tracks, assesses, investigates, and responds to privacy incidents and complaints, escalating where required due to risk.
  4. Maintains accurate record-keeping to meet regulatory requirements.
  5. Supports Director, Privacy, as required, on new strategic initiatives and revising/enhancing business processes and procedures to appropriately reflect existing, changing or new regulatory requirements.
  6. Monitors legislative changes on OIPC/OPC sites for regulatory guidance and ensures the Privacy Team and Privacy Reps are aware of any updates.
