About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Building Operations Assistant to join our team at the National Research Council Canada. As a key member of our Real Property Planning and Management Branch, you will play a vital role in supporting our researchers, engineers, and technicians in fulfilling their project goals and obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and handle all shipping and receiving needs of the client and property
  • Perform security screening of all staff and contractors
  • Manage invoicing, surplus of retired equipment, quotes, and operation of pallet jack to move material around
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities and assist the Operations team as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Significant experience with MS Office suite products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Significant experience in administrative duties such as preparing and maintaining filing systems, documenting office procedures, and drafting internal and external correspondence
  • Significant experience working in a shipping/receiving role
  • Significant experience providing client support services
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods
  • Experience with SAP procurement or material management
