Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service and Sales Associate to join our team at Canadian Tire - Penticton, BC (Store 351). As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be working in a fast-paced retail environment, interacting with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting products.
  • Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately, handling cash, credit card transactions, and gift card sales.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, tidying up displays, and ensuring a safe working space.
  • Process returns and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in visual merchandising, including setting up displays, arranging product categories, and creating eye-catching window displays.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by promoting products, identifying customer needs, and making recommendations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and credit card transactions.
