Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at Trimac Transportation and Family of Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, and chassis problems
  • Work on electrical, starting, and emissions systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Assist senior mechanics with more complex repairs
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Red Seal certification is an asset
  • CVIP certification is an asset
  • Two years of verifiable mechanic experience
  • Ability to work at heights up to 15 feet
  • Positive work ethic and attitude
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
