Preference will be given to candidates with three or more years of experience in heavy-duty mechanics.

This position demands physical stamina. We offer a unique mentorship culture, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits and retirement package. Personal protective equipment will be provided, although candidates must supply their own tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Up to three (3) years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment, including backhoes, trackhoes, trenchers, front-end loaders, digger derricks, forklifts, directional bores, hydrovacs, etc.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, dismantle, align, assemble, and adjust mechanical equipment and machinery to maintain optimal operating conditions.
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks, such as changing motor oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levels.
  • Repair or replace worn components and systems.
  • Utilize checklists to ensure comprehensive examination of all parts and systems.
  • Identify mechanical and electrical issues using both manual and computerized diagnostic tools.
  • Execute repairs thoroughly and accurately.
  • Additional responsibilities based on shop work priorities.

Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (class 1A preferred).
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Physical strength and stamina, with the capacity to lift over 50 pounds.
  • This role is classified as safety-sensitive; the successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening.
