About the Role:

This role offers an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact on our product and direction as a Software Engineer on the Voice Platform. You'll work closely with our product team to craft exceptional user experiences around the magic our AI creates. The team operates in a collaborative yet highly autonomous environment, where each member has a defined role with clear expectations, along with the freedom to pursue individual projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute substantially to the Cresta voice platform engineering team.
  • Collaborate with Cresta product and engineering teams to build and continuously improve the Cresta platform to support new product requirements.
  • Maintain close relationships with customers and their requirements, analyzing technical tradeoffs, owning customer-facing deliverables.
  • Develop high-quality, well-designed, reusable, and well-tested system components, contributing to overall system designs.
  • Optimize the platform design and implementation for lower latency, higher throughput, better reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Demonstrate engineering best practices in deliverables and daily work, upholding others to the same high standards.
  • Grow into technical ownership in a substantial part of the Cresta product and platform.
  • Contribute to building the best-in-class company alongside building the best-in-class product.
Qualifications We Value:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant domains.
  • Proficiency in designing and maintaining clear and robust APIs based on strong understanding of various protocols including gRPC, REST, Websocket, etc.
  • Experience handling real-time streaming data (audio or video) with high throughput and low latency.
  • Knowledge of high-performance database schema design and query optimization.
  • Experience with containerized application deployment using Kubernetes.
  • Experience with one of the major cloud providers.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on candidate-specific factors such as experience, skillset, and location, along with local minimum pay requirements. This role is actively hiring in Canada.
