About the Role

Moksh Tech is seeking a highly skilled Senior MSSQL Database Specialist/Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and administering our SQL server deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Review and Optimization: Conduct thorough reviews of our current SQL server deployments to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to address gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Backup and Recovery Strategies: Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies for our SQL databases to ensure business continuity and meet business requirements.
  • Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning to ensure our SQL server deployments are optimized for performance and scalability.
  • Database Migration: Migrate databases from old servers to new servers, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Data Carving: Extract specific data from large databases (up to 5TB) for development environments.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Document current and future database states, and provide knowledge transfer training to staff on implemented solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in MS SQL database design, development, and administration.
  • Expertise: Strong skills as a DBA in both on-prem and cloud (Azure) storage solutions.
  • Qualifications: Graduate of a 4-year degree university program and relevant professional certifications in SQL databases.
  • Consulting Profile: Able to provide strategic and tactical advice on all matters of the SQL database to stakeholders.
  • Track Record: Proven track record of successes in previous contracts and engagements in SQL server migrations and deployment.
