Job Title: Senior MSSQL Database Specialist/Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior MSSQL Database Specialist/Consultant to join our team at Moksh Tech. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and administering MS SQL databases to meet the business requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and optimize current SQL server deployments to ensure they meet the business needs.
  • Develop and implement backup strategies for SQL databases to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Perform capacity planning to ensure databases are properly sized and configured.
  • Migrate databases from old servers to new servers, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Carve data from large databases (up to 5TB) for development environments.
  • Document all current and future database states, including knowledge transfer training for staff.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in MS SQL database design, development, and administration.
  • Strong skills in both on-prem and cloud (Azure) storage solutions.
  • Ability to provide strategic and tactical advice on SQL database matters to stakeholders.
  • Track record of successes in previous contracts and engagements in SQL server migrations and deployment.
  • Graduate of a 4-year degree university program and relevant professional certifications in SQL databases.
