Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Canada West Equipment. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our outdoor spaces, ensuring they are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
• Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and other tasks to ensure our outdoor spaces are well-maintained.
• Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Prepare estimates for labour and materials required for grounds maintenance projects, ensuring we stay within budget.
• Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Tender and Administer Contracts: Manage contracts with external vendors, ensuring they meet our quality standards and are completed on time.
• Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and making repairs as needed.
• Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure materials, equipment, and supplies required for grounds maintenance, ensuring we have what we need to complete tasks efficiently.
• Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of staff and resources.

Supervision:

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
