We are currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our esteemed client, a leading company based in the East end of Montreal. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic team environment.

About the Role:

  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of accounting records for the designated region, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the process.
  • Develop and implement efficient bank reconciliation processes to ensure alignment and minimize discrepancies.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive monthly and annual financial statements, highlighting key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Deliver regular financial analyses, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  • Perform month-end/year-end close tasks, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, reduce cycle times, and enhance financial reporting efficiency.
  • Develop and present value-added financial analyses, identifying areas for cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations, preparing and submitting tax returns in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with Business Unit partners to understand their financial drivers, challenge assumptions, and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.

About You:

  • Hold a university degree in accounting or finance.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis.
