Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supply chain operations, including forecasting, inventory management, and logistics.
- Participate in production meetings to align on monthly demand forecasts and review forecast, place orders, logistics, Customs clearance, Distributors, inventory reconciliation, and vendor development.
- Communicate forecasts with suppliers and organize production schedules to meet our needs.
- Plan and purchase supplies/materials and manage inventory levels to internal standards.
- Manage 3PL Service Providers and Contract Manufacturers.
- Work with all aspects of Inbound and Outbound Logistics.
- Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet demand.
- Negotiate Pricing, Commercial Contracts, and Agreements.
- Prepare and manage the Supply Chain Budget and deliver on Budgeted Costs.
- Plan and implement continuous margin improvement strategies.
- Build and strengthen Supplier Relationships.
- Manage logistics for International Business.
- Maintain high-quality standards for products and services, while ensuring price competitiveness and delivering expected gross margins.
- Manage quality issues and review with suppliers as required.
- Identify and set up alternative suppliers for materials and services as part of contingency planning.
- Assist Business Development in due diligence on potential new products.
- Assist Marketing and Regulatory in artwork development/update process.
- Assist with new product launches and ensure timely arrival of products for the planned launch date.
- Ensure a high level of value-added service is attained and costs are reduced year over year by supporting other business areas in their strategic projects and initiatives.
- Provide recommendations for risk management, improved service delivery, and other cost containment/optimization initiatives.
- Provide regular input and ensure understanding and compliance with appropriate policies and procedures that mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain in a healthcare/pharmaceutical environment (an asset).
- Adaptable, with the ability to provide strategic guidance and roll up your sleeves for day-to-day operational activities.
- Diplomatic, professional, and exercise great judgment in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Problem-solver, often thinking outside the box to find innovative solutions to challenging problems.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving materials by air, rail, sea, or road, including relative costs and benefits.
- Love a challenge, completing complex projects quickly and adeptly with understanding of business priorities.
- Serious about results and take pride in a consistent track record in delivering.
