Job Summary

Prairie Sky School Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, promoting their academic and social growth in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany students during school and extracurricular activities, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement personalized learning plans, reinforcing concepts and promoting retention.
  • Supervise students during recess and lunch hour, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist students with integration into the classroom and school setting, promoting social skills and confidence.
  • Monitor and report student progress to classroom teachers, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience working with students with special needs, including autistic children, children with ADHD or ADD, and children with learning disabilities.
  • Certifications in food allergy and anaphylaxis training, CPR, and vulnerable sector check.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to student-centered support.
