Class 1 Driver for Linehaul Operations

Job Summary:

Purolator is seeking a skilled Class 1 driver to join our linehaul operations team. As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles and material handling equipment to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive to/from customer locations
  • Safely operate company vehicles and material handling equipment
  • Pick up and deliver freight to/from warehouse or package depot and/or customer locations and meet service level agreements
  • Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
  • Pick up, deliver, and load/unload freight at customer locations
  • Scans freight upon pickup and delivery
  • Conduct vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer – 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)

Requirements:

  • Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of Class 1 driving experience
  • No more than four (4) demerit points on Driver's Abstract
  • Must be a valid, non-conditional driver's license
