Job Opportunity: Class 3 Driver

We are currently seeking an experienced Class 1 or 3 Driver to join our Richmond Waste Services team. As a Class 3 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating various units, including Vacuum trucks, Cube Vans, and HIAB crane trucks, in diverse weather and challenging work site environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Comply with all jurisdiction traffic safety legislation.
  • Safely operate various units, including Vacuum trucks, Cube Vans, and HIAB crane trucks.
  • Abide by all Waste Management and customer plant-specific safety procedures.
  • Ensure all waste containers are labeled in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations.
  • Inspect all waste materials to ensure compliance with manifest, recycle docket, and bill of lading descriptions.
  • Be a team player, committed to an on-call rotation for off hours and weekends.
  • Communicate effectively with Dispatch daily, to maximize customer needs and SECURE's efficiency.
  • Assist with operations at the facility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years driving experience in the transportation industry or demonstrated competency.
  • Class 1 or 3 Commercial License is a requirement.
  • Clear and valid current 5-year Commercial Drivers Abstract is a requirement.
  • HIAB crane truck or Vacuum truck experience is considered an asset.
  • Solid knowledge base with respect to Hours of Service, load securement, and driving regulations.
  • Solid understanding of Canadian geography and highway systems.
