Job Summary:

The Payroll Account Associate (ATL) works under the direction of the Payroll Services Manager, collaborating with a team responsible for supporting payroll administration for clients while upholding EP's mission, values, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists Payroll Account Coordinators with inputting Above the Line (ATL), union, and non-union manual timesheets
  • Provides support in importing EPOL payroll files
  • Assists with extras input, if required
  • Vendorizes employee information into the payroll database
  • Understands ATL payments and associated contracts
  • Comprehends payroll/rulebook set-up
  • Understands Project maxouts
  • Processes post-production payroll at the discretion of the Payroll Services Manager
  • Responsible for client management of assigned payroll accounts (where applicable)
  • Processes ROE inquiries and requests from production accountants and employees on assigned payroll accounts
  • Provides payroll support in the absence of Payroll Account Coordinator
  • Completes Special Processing instructions for payroll adjustments
  • Assists with entering payroll variances, void/reissues, and retro HST payments
  • Supports posting payrolls
  • Runs, assembles, and packages payroll reports
  • In conjunction with the Payroll Account Administrator, files necessary documents and show information
  • Prepares and reissues stop/stale dated cheques
  • Supports the Payroll Services team as needed, attending meetings and participating in discussions

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a Payroll Account Administrator role
  • 1-year experience in a clerical environment, preferably in payroll
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • A willingness to work a shifted schedule, Tuesdays to Thursdays, to accommodate high-volume payroll

Working Conditions:
