Job Description for Cashier at Hi Ho Gas & Grocery

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Hi Ho Gas & Grocery. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating a cash register, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Count and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift
  • Restock shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including counting and reconciling cash and inventory
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous retail or customer service experience an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
