About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Professional to join our team at Allnorth. As a key member of our environmental team, you will provide technical leadership and expertise to design, plan, and lead various field programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior staff and professionals
  • Evaluate environmental opportunities and assist in proposal writing, including developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules, and deliverables
  • Manage tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work and deliver quality reports on schedule
  • Liaise with on-site client representatives, contractors, and regulators
  • Provide quality and independent review for projects
  • Provide an understanding of environmental Best Management Practices and advise clients accordingly

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in earth/environmental science, biology, forestry, or related discipline
  • Possess a designation (i.e. R.P. Bio, P.Ag, P.Biol etc) and be a member in good standing of the professional body
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Broad-based experience in the heavy industrial/civil construction sector, including but not limited to: water quality, fisheries, plants, wetlands, ESC, contaminated sites, etc.
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and compliance inspections
  • Ability and willingness to work in a variety of field settings
  • Demonstrated experience with technical writing, reporting, and communication
  • Multi-jurisdictional knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, permits, and legislation
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams to meet objectives, develop programs to manage risks, meet corporate and stakeholder requirements, and maintain compliance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
