Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Services Manager to join our Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading project-based and recurring advisory projects for a diverse client base. Your expertise will be essential in delivering responsive, practical, and high-quality financial reporting and technical advisory services to our clients.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Lead advisory projects, including the development of project plans, mentorship, and management of staff in the execution of projects, and leading communications with client CEOs, CFOs, controllers, and auditors.
  2. Service Orientation: Establish professional relationships with client personnel, building trust in our advisory capacity with them. Maintain a strong service orientation, ensuring open and effective communication with clients.
  3. Quality Assurance: Ensure maintenance of high standards and quality of advisory projects through the preparation and review of deliverables.
  4. Staff Management & Development: Contribute to the establishment of a clear definition of responsibility for each member of the team, the ongoing management, mentorship, and support of staff, and effective employee performance management.
Education and Professional Skillset Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum four years progressively responsible experience in consulting or auditing, in public practice or with a publicly traded company, with a significant focus on financial reporting under IFRS.
  2. Education: Must have held a CPA designation for a minimum of two years. All other finance/accounting designations considered an asset.
  3. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in drafting financial statements to comply with IFRS, and a thorough understanding of public company reporting deadlines.
  4. Project Management: Strong project management and people management experience, including the ability to supervise staff.
  5. Style: Collaborative, team-oriented, high-energy, self-motivated, smart, performance-driven, multi-tasker, confident. A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
  6. Language: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, in English. Proficiency in Spanish and/or French is considered an asset.
