Diesel Engine Technician

At Empire Paving Limited, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Engine Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Engine Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your duties will include adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. You will also be responsible for cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work. Additionally, you will perform repair work on heavy trucks, service attachments and working tools, and verify and repair emission control systems.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The ideal candidate will be physically demanding and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods. You will also need to have hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and be able to handle heavy loads.

Experience

We are looking for a candidate with 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role. You will be required to work 35 hours per week and be fluent in English.
