Job Title: Visitor Services Supervisor

Join the Museum of Contemporary Art team as a Visitor Services Supervisor, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional visitor experiences and driving sales. As a supervisor, you will oversee the front-of-house team, ensuring that our visitors receive top-notch service and that our museum standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Lead the Front-of-House Team: Directly supervise and motivate the front-of-house staff to provide excellent customer service and security of the artwork, creating a seamless museum experience.
  • Ensure Visitor Experience Standards: Work with management and staff to monitor and ensure our visitor experience, housekeeping, security, and appearance standards are consistently met.
  • Manage Daily Operations: Complete daily opening and closing procedures, including display of museum retail items, addressing customer inquiries, and packaging merchandise.
  • Support Special Events and Programming: Provide support and leadership during special events, programming, venue rentals, and other projects as needed.
  • Manage Scheduling and Payroll: Complete payroll approvals on the scheduling software, making any necessary adjustments to the schedules.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A minimum of two years experience in a customer service supervisory role and one year of experience motivating a team to increase sales.
  • Skills: Outstanding social, customer service, and relationship management skills, with experience in customer service in hospitality, retail, attractions, or cultural sector.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in museum studies, hospitality, art history, and arts administration or other relevant field is an asset.
