Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers based on quantity and type of merchandise required.
  • Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring it meets quality and price standards.
  • Supervise the work of other buyers and provide guidance on purchasing decisions.
  • Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and products.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
  • Possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with supplier markets and ability to establish effective relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure timely and cost-effective purchases.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

This role also offers benefits, including 35 hours of paid work per week, English as the primary language of communication, and permanent employment.
