Web Developer Job Description

MacLean Engineering is seeking a skilled Web Developer to join our team in Collingwood, ON for an 18-month contract. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solid, reliable, and optimized code for our websites and web presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop front-end web applications using Node.js, React, and/or Angular.
  • Work collaboratively with Marketing and IT staff to ensure ongoing consistency and innovation in web content and design.
  • Implement complex web applications quickly and with high quality.
  • Interface with clients to understand their business requirements and suggest best course of action.
  • Develop and test web applications for multiple browsers and platforms.
  • Use Git version control and understand modern web standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion.
  • Diploma or Degree in a related discipline is an asset.
  • Three (3) + years' experience as a web developer.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience developing applications with React JS and/or Angular JS.
  • Extensive experience using HTML5/CSS3.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, Node.js, MongoDB, jQuery.
  • Fluent with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent).
  • Experienced with non-relational databases.
