Senior Corporate Tax Manager

At Bank of Montreal, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance and accounting group, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our tax reporting and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the execution of tax accounting and reporting operational programs, ensuring quality of execution and timely compliance.
- Manage audits, prepare responses to queries, and provide input into the planning and implementation of tax accounting and compliance programs.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect and provide tax information for related accounting entries, support tax provision, compliance, audits, etc.
- Monitor compliance with tax policies, procedures, and controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial information.
- Execute work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service, preparing and supporting the preparation of accounting entries, reconciliations, reporting packages, and financial statements for tax provisions, payments, and returns.
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Accounting designation required.
- Working knowledge in the application of corporate taxes for the assigned jurisdiction(s)/portfolio.
- Working knowledge in the application of tax accounting concepts.
- Working knowledge of specialized tax return software.
- Able to manage ambiguity.
- Data-driven decision making - In-depth/Expert.
