Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at VALLEX DEEP CONSTRUCTION LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment, as well as maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for identifying and diagnosing faults and malfunctions in heavy equipment, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
Repair and Maintain EquipmentThe successful candidate will be responsible for ordering parts and maintaining inventory, adjusting equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts.
Keep Maintenance RecordsThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for keeping accurate maintenance records and documentation, including test results and repair history.
Test and Inspect Repaired EquipmentThe successful candidate will be responsible for testing repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications and is safe for use.
Perform Routine MaintenanceThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work as required.
Requirements- Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
Certifications and TrainingFall Arrest Protection Training Course and First Aid Certificate
SpecializationsDiesel engine repair specialization, Powered equipment repair specialization, and Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization
Work EnvironmentThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work in a variety of locations, including outdoors, and will be required to work in a dusty and noisy environment.
Physical Demands- Physical Demands
The successful candidate will be required to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and will need to be physically fit to perform the duties of the job.
Attention to DetailThe Heavy Equipment Mechanic will need to have attention to detail to ensure accurate maintenance records and to identify and diagnose faults and malfunctions.
