About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at 1327774 B.C. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation up-to-date, providing valuable insights for future maintenance.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring it meets manufacturer standards.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including service attachments and working tools.
  • Perform other routine maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work outdoors in dusty and noisy environments.
  • Willingness to relocate to various locations.
  • On-site customer service experience.
  • Basic security clearance and bondability.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Diesel engine repair specialization, including fuel injection system, lubrication system, and engine control system.
  • Powered equipment repair specialization, including hydraulic-operated working attachments, compressors, and pumps.
  • Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization, including hydraulic transmissions, tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, and wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering.
