About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team at SKYLINE WELDING & FABRICATION LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of welding and fabrication tasks, including operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, and ensuring that welds meet standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welding and Fabrication: Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal parts together, and perform fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, and shaping metal.
  • Quality Control: Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and perform quality control checks to ensure that all work meets company standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding and fabrication equipment, and ensure that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Material Handling: Handle and store materials, including metals, alloys, and other materials, and ensure that all materials are properly labeled and stored.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects and meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and requires manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
