Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Horticultural Specialist to join our team at Tilray Brands Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and well-being of our crops, ensuring optimal growth and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean the crops to prevent disease and pest infestations.
  • Cut horticultural crops to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Perform greenhouse cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Tie and secure plants to prevent damage and promote healthy growth.
  • Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth.
  • Mix and prepare soils to provide optimal growing conditions for our crops.
  • Plant bulbs and seeds to ensure a continuous supply of crops.
  • Pot and re-pot plants to provide optimal growing conditions.
  • Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings to ensure optimal growth and productivity.
  • Report signs of insect or disease damage to ensure prompt action is taken to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs to prepare them for planting.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure optimal growth and productivity.
  • Clean the work area to maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements:

  • Criminal record check to ensure the successful candidate is suitable for the role.
  • Own transportation to ensure the successful candidate can travel to and from work.
