About the Role

We are seeking an Electrical and Automation Systems Designer to join our engineering team. As an Electrical and Automation Systems Designer, you will play a key role in carrying out projects of all kinds, from detailed engineering to project management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the design and layout of automated systems, including control, instrumentation, and motor control.
  • Designing and laying out low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Participating in studies and drafting technical specifications and estimates.
  • Overseeing construction work and starting up site systems.
  • Managing technical teams and working closely with other members of the BBA team and client teams.
  • Applying established work methods and improving them.
  • Participating in project management, including execution, costs, and schedules.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in industrial/building drafting or electrical engineering.
  • Experience as an electrical or automation drafter/designer, preferably with at least two years of experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian electrical code and industry standards.
  • Availability to travel occasionally to client sites in Québec and the rest of Canada.
