Project Cost Control Specialist

At AtkinsRéalis, a leading nuclear engineering company in Canada, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Control Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in project management techniques and earned value analysis, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our projects.

Your Role:
- Project Schedule Management: You will support planning and scheduling activities, prepare project schedules, and update them as needed. This includes setting up baseline schedules, issuing schedules for internal and external use, and reporting critical schedule issues.
- Data Extraction and Reporting: You will extract data from Primavera files and send it to the cost controller. Additionally, you will monitor and control project progress against the schedule, identifying variances and communicating with the Project Controls Manager and Project Manager.
- Progress Measurement and Control: You will ensure proper progress measurement is in place for all projects and portfolios within the P&L, advising on areas of concern that could prevent meeting objectives.
- Interface with Project Control Team: You will work closely with the Project Control Team to maintain an integrated cost-schedule project control system.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant cost control experience, preferably in an engineering and construction projects environment.
- Expert knowledge of project management techniques, including the critical path method, progress measurement, and earned value analysis.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Microsoft Excel, and able to learn new software as per company standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with clients, alliance partners, staff, and other stakeholders.
