Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Professional to lead our team in managing the lifecycle cost control of major engineering projects. This role involves overseeing the cost control process, ensuring project setup conforms to Project Controls processes and procedures, and providing regular reports on project cost status and cost deviations.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the lifecycle cost control of the P&L program and be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all cost control matters on the group of projects under the P&L.
  • Ensure setup of the projects is in conformance to Project Controls processes and procedures.
  • Monitor, control, and report on project performance throughout the program life.
  • Inform the Project Controls Manager whether a proper Costing measurement is in place for all project activities through the whole project cycle.
  • Advise and propose solutions on matters that could prevent meeting the project objectives and provide recommendations to optimize the overall project cost.
  • Oversee timely and accurate cost report updates at the end of each reporting period for the project control accounts to warrant proper monthly cost report.
  • Trend actuals data and analyze forecasts.
  • Provide regular reports on project cost status and cost deviations and recommend remedial actions.
  • Provide regular reports on project time accumulation, analyze budget variances, and recommend remedial actions.
  • Lead the implementation of ECOSYS on the project.
  • Interface with other project controls staff including other Cost Controllers and Planners to maintain an integrated cost-schedule project control system.
  • Interface with different stakeholders to establish sub-contractor progress.
Requirements
  • The opportunity to work on various major projects for internal and external clients.
  • Competitive pay: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, flexible benefits, an employee share plan, and a defined contribution pension plan.
  • University degree (Bachelors).
  • Minimum 15 years Cost Control experience - up to Lead level.
  • Mandatory - Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accruals (Client/Vendor).
