About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Design Specialist to join our team at GMBC GROUP INC. as a Building Design Professional. As a key member of our construction project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of our building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs, and construction schedules.
  • Project Management: Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects.
  • Client Communication: Consult with clients to determine the type, style, and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients with a focus on design, construction time, price, or others.
  • Site Supervision: Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses of building projects.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and prepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise staff in various areas of responsibility and work with working groups.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in architectural software programs, Adobe Photoshop, MS Office, AutoCAD, Computer-aided design (CAD), SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication, organized, team player, and flexible.
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment that requires working under pressure with tight deadlines. You will be required to work a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
