About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Professional to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient services, including answering telephones, exercising judgment when using automated databases, and routing inquiry calls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health sciences centre receptionist functions, including greeting, directing, and assisting internal and external customers
  • Monitor and announce all public address codes, including medical emergency and contingency codes
  • Contacts physicians and administrative personnel via public address, internal, and external paging systems
  • Maintains daily records and performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • One-year related experience (call centre, secretarial/reception, or other related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience)
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Certificate in Communication and Customer Service preferred
  • Minimum of 40 wpm, basic alpha-numeric data entry skills, and medical terminology required
  • Computer skills required, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
