Job Title: Pharmacist Assistant

Join Metro's pharmacy team as a Pharmacist Assistant and play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality dispensary and pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all aspects of the technical act of dispensing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Receive prescription refill requests and verbal prescriptions, adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain patient profiles, scanning and filing patient records as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with prescribers, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, answering phones, checking voicemail messages, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving orders, and ensuring product quality and storage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist, including maintaining store standards and conditions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Pharmacy Assistant Program
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in retail pharmacy
  • Proficient with current PC systems, MS Office programs, and pharmacy software (Kroll)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
  • Organizational skills to prioritize, plan ahead, manage time, and be punctual
  • Customer service skills to achieve customer satisfaction by recognizing customer needs and wants
